Andrea Landi’s Red Bull salary is £180k-350k ($239k-464k) in F1 Salaries’ band for department heads. He only started on July 1, 2026, so half a year is all he’ll collect this season.
Adding a bonus of £18k-105k ($24k-139k) gives a full-year total of £198k-455k ($262k-603k). Neither Red Bull nor Racing Bulls, where he was a deputy technical director in 2025, has published what he earns. There’s no credible net worth figure for him either.

What Each Point Now Costs Red Bull
Performance is Landi’s area at Red Bull, which means understanding where the car gains and loses time and feeding that back into development. He reports to Ben Waterhouse, who became Chief Performance and Design Engineer in the same April 2026 reshuffle, and Waterhouse answers to technical director Pierre Waché.
His experience links the factory to the track. Landi was a race engineer at Toro Rosso and in the DTM, headed Ferrari’s vehicle dynamics department and ran car design at Racing Bulls, so tire behavior and trackside feedback are as familiar to him as the drawing office.
Secondary chronology of Landi's career at Toro Rosso, in the DTM, at Ferrari and at Racing Bulls.
Profile of Landi's engineering background, useful for his early career, although some of the assignments in it are dated.

Autosport's report on the reshuffle that moved Landi from Racing Bulls into Red Bull's technical department.

Across the grid’s F1 technical staff, Landi’s band is the one F1 Salaries gives heads of department. Ferrari’s head of aerodynamics, Diego Tondi, and its head of track engineering, Matteo Togninalli, sit on the same £180k-350k ($239k-464k), at the team where Landi ran vehicle dynamics work before his return to Faenza.
Landi started in performance engineering at Toro Rosso and went through the DTM and Ferrari before coming back to Red Bull’s two teams.
At Red Bull, Landi sits two levels below technical director Pierre Waché, whose band is £500k-2m ($663k-2.7m). He shares his own band with chief engineer Paul Monaghan, at the team since 2005, and with strategy head Hannah Schmitz.
Andrea Landi started at Red Bull on July 1, 2026, as Head of Performance. Red Bull announced the move on April 17 as part of a reshuffle of its technical department, so about 11 weeks passed between the news and his first day. He came from Racing Bulls, where he’d been a deputy technical director.
Ben Waterhouse is Andrea Landi’s boss. Waterhouse was promoted to Chief Performance and Design Engineer in April 2026, which gives him design and vehicle performance, and he reports to Pierre Waché. Landi’s Head of Performance job covers the performance side of that brief, and he leads the engineers who work on it.
F1 Salaries puts Andrea Landi’s Red Bull base salary at £180k-350k ($239k-464k), the band for department heads. A bonus of up to £105k ($139k) could lift a full year to £455k ($603k). Red Bull doesn’t publish what he earns, and no outlet has reported a figure of its own.
Jaime Alguersuari was Andrea Landi’s first driver as a Toro Rosso race engineer, in 2010 and 2011, and Jean-Éric Vergne followed in 2012. In the DTM he engineered Marco Wittmann and António Félix da Costa for BMW’s MTEK team, before Ferrari hired him to run its vehicle dynamics work.
Andrea Landi is Italian, born in Piombino on the Tuscan coast on September 8, 1977. Most of his career has been at Italian bases, at Toro Rosso in Faenza, Ferrari in Maranello and then Racing Bulls, so the July 2026 move to Red Bull took him to England.
