What Is The Richest F1 Team?

Ferrari is the richest team on the 2026 grid at $7.1bn, a value built on its brand and history as much as its recent results. Mercedes sits second at $6.4bn and actually brings in more money each year, with revenue of $839m against Ferrari's $670m.

An F1 team is worth what a buyer would pay for the factory, the commercial contracts, the intellectual property, and the heritage that come with it. That's why McLaren, at $5.2bn, ranks above Red Bull at $4.9bn, even though Red Bull has won more championships in the last five years.

Cadillac joined the grid in 2026 and is valued at $1.6bn, so the newest team is worth less than a quarter of Ferrari.

What Each Point Now Costs Red Bull

Which F1 Team Has the Most Expensive Driver Pairing?

Ferrari has the most expensive driver pairing in F1, at $94m across its two race seats for 2026. Lewis Hamilton takes $60m of that and Charles Leclerc $34m, which is more than a quarter of everything the grid spends on driver salaries.

Red Bull is second at $77.5m, and $70m of it goes to Max Verstappen. That's more than the combined driver pay at nine of the other ten teams, and his new deal through 2030 is reported to be worth around $100m a year from 2027.

McLaren is third at $43m and splits it far more evenly between Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. Mercedes follows at $37.4m, with George Russell on $34m while championship leader Kimi Antonelli earns $3.4m.
