Norris has carried the number 1 on his McLaren in 2026. The first half of the year was patchy, with a non-start in China and retirements in Canada and Monaco, but he won back to back from pole at the Hungarian and Dutch Grands Prix in the summer. He has also had the better of Oscar Piastri in qualifying this season.
