How Much Does BWT Pay Alpine?
BWT’s Alpine title deal is worth about $25m a year. That’s the number BlackBook Motorsport’s 2025 business report and PlanetF1’s 2023 reporting both gave, and we’ve carried it into 2026 because nothing newer has surfaced and neither company has ever published the fee.
It’s the biggest deal at Alpine, well clear of Eni’s $15m, and level with Toyota Gazoo Racing‘s title package at Haas. The Race’s $50m-60m report for Gucci’s 2027 deal shows how much the same naming slot now costs.

Reports Gucci's Alpine title deal from 2027 at $50m-60m a year plus bonuses for at least three years.

How the BWT Alpine Title Deal Works
BWT stands for Best Water Technology. It’s a private Austrian group from Mondsee that makes water treatment and filtration systems for homes, pools, factories and pharmaceutical plants, and founder Andreas Weissenbacher still runs it. It doesn’t publish current revenue.
Title rights put BWT in the entry name, BWT Alpine F1 Team, and its pink runs through the blue livery. In the paddock it runs water bars serving mineralized water to cut out plastic bottles. The rights run through 2026, and nothing’s been said about a smaller role after that.

Why Is BWT Sponsoring Alpine?
Alpine gave BWT its pink car back. The company had followed the Silverstone team from Force India through Racing Point, but when it became Aston Martin in 2021 the car turned green and BWT’s logos shrank to small accents. A title slot at Alpine a year later restored the name and the color.
The paddock doubles as a shop window. BWT sells filtration systems that replace bottled water in homes and offices, and its water bars give that pitch against single-use plastic a working demonstration in front of teams, guests and media at every race.

BWT F1 Sponsorship History
BWT has spent a decade in F1 with the same pink identity, first at the Silverstone team that became Aston Martin and then at Alpine.
BWT and Alpine Sponsorship Questions
BWT means Best Water Technology, the Austrian water treatment company whose name has been in Alpine’s entry since 2022. That’s why the team races as BWT Alpine F1 Team. BWT isn’t a car maker or a racing brand, and it uses F1 to sell water filtration to homes and businesses.
BWT pays Alpine about $25m a year, the figure BlackBook Motorsport and PlanetF1 both gave for the title deal, although neither company has disclosed the fee. That’s the biggest deal on the current Alpine car, but it’s only about half the $50m-60m The Race reported for Gucci from 2027.
Alpine isn’t becoming Gucci, but Gucci does replace BWT as title partner in 2027. The team will race as the Gucci Racing Alpine Formula One Team, and ownership doesn’t change. BWT’s name stays on the entry for the rest of 2026.
BWT hasn’t said whether it’ll stay with Alpine once Gucci takes the title. Its naming rights end with the 2026 season, but Gucci’s announcement didn’t mention BWT at all, so a smaller role or a clean exit are both still open. Neither side has published an end date for the wider partnership.
Alpine is pink because of BWT, whose brand color has followed it from Force India and Racing Point to Alpine. The team mixes the pink into its blue livery and has run mostly pink cars at selected races, including eight events in 2024, while BWT holds the title rights.
BWT heads Alpine’s sponsors in 2026 as title partner, with Eni, MSC Cruises, Mercado Libre, Qatar Airways, and H. Moser & Cie. among the other featured deals. The wider list runs to dozens of partners and suppliers, from Castore and Valvoline to Boeing and SEALSQ, and Gucci joins in 2027.
