Eni
Alpine F1 Sponsor

How Much Does Eni Pay Alpine?
Eni’s Alpine deal is worth about $15m a year. The fee has never been published, so we’ve placed it in the band we use for major premium partners, as the agreement covers fuel and energy work and brings in Renault Group as well.
That makes it the second-biggest deal at Alpine after BWT‘s $25m. It’s a fraction of what other oil companies pay, with PETRONAS reported at $80m a year by Mercedes, the team that now builds Alpine’s engines.
The $15m deal equals about an hour of Eni's $93.68bn revenue.

How the Eni Alpine Sponsorship Works
Eni is the Italian energy group run by Claudio Descalzi, and it produces and sells oil, gas, fuel and electricity. It reported €82.15bn ($93.68bn) of revenue for 2025 and a net profit of €2.61bn ($2.97bn).
The deal was signed three ways on February 13, 2025, by Eni, Renault Group and the team. Eni is Alpine’s premium energy and fuel partner with its Enilive brand on show, and the agreement also covers Renault projects such as Enjoy car sharing and planned work on bio-gasoline.

Puts Eni's market value at $78.51bn in September 2026.
Why Is Eni Sponsoring Alpine?
Eni’s rivals were already on the grid. Shell backs Ferrari, PETRONAS backs Mercedes and Aramco has its name on Aston Martin, so a works deal with Alpine gave Italy’s energy giant its own team to set against them. Signing Renault Group at the same time adds a car maker that sells Renault, Dacia, and Alpine road cars.
That road-car link suits what Enilive sells, which is lower-carbon fuel and mobility services. F1’s 2026 engines run on fully sustainable fuel, and the same pitch sits behind Enilive’s title sponsorship of Serie A, Italian football’s top league.

Eni F1 Sponsorship History
Eni’s earlier F1 presence came through Agip, its old fuel brand, before the group returned to the grid under its own name with Alpine.
Eni and Alpine Sponsorship Questions
Eni sponsors F1 through Alpine, where it’s been a premium energy and fuel partner since February 2025 under a deal that also involves Renault Group. Its Enilive brand appears with the team. Eni’s earlier F1 link was Agip, its former fuel brand, which was on Ferrari’s cars in the 1980s.
About $15m a year is our figure for Eni’s Alpine deal, although the fee has never been disclosed. That puts it second at Alpine behind BWT’s $25m title deal, and far below the $80m a year reported for PETRONAS at Mercedes, which supplies Alpine’s engines from 2026.
Eni hasn’t been confirmed as the supplier of Alpine’s 2026 race fuel. Its deal was signed when Alpine still used Renault engines, and the team has run Mercedes power units since 2026. No public statement says which fuel goes into the car this season, so the partnership alone doesn’t prove Eni supplies it.
Eni’s deal is older than Alpine’s Mercedes engines. It was signed in February 2025 with Renault Group and the team while Viry-Châtillon still built Alpine’s power unit, and Eni stayed on the partner roster after the switch, even though Mercedes works with PETRONAS on fuel.
Alpine and Eni started working together in the 2025 season. Renault Group, Eni and the team announced the partnership on February 13, 2025, and Eni was still on Alpine’s partner roster in September 2026 with no end date published. It’ll sit behind Gucci’s title deal from 2027.
