OKX
McLaren F1 Sponsor

How Much Does OKX Pay McLaren?
OKX’s McLaren deal is worth about $25m a year. GlobalData put that figure on it for 2023 in data published by Sportcal, and BlackBook Motorsport’s 2025 report used the same number. Nothing newer has come out, so it’s carried into 2026. Older talk of hundreds of millions over several seasons can’t be turned into a yearly fee without a known term.
Only Mastercard and British American Tobacco rank higher at McLaren. No other exchange’s team deal comes close, with Nexo at $7m and Kraken at $5m.

How the OKX McLaren Sponsorship Works
OKX runs a cryptocurrency exchange and a self-custody wallet, and it was founded by Star Xu. It doesn’t publish revenue, so the clearest sign of its size came in March 2026, when NYSE owner Intercontinental Exchange invested at a $25bn valuation.
McLaren lists OKX as an Official Primary Partner, the same tier Google holds, with its name on the cars and race suits. BlackBook called the 2024 renewal a three-year deal. That would take it through 2026 if it began that season, but McLaren hasn’t announced an end date.

Why Does OKX Sponsor McLaren?
OKX needed a new name to stick. OKEx became OKX in January 2022, and four months later the new logo was on McLaren’s car in Miami. It has since had the whole car for one-off liveries, and Lando Norris won the 2024 Singapore Grand Prix in one of them.
It’s the same bet OKX made in football. It joined Manchester City in 2022 and moved onto the shirt sleeve a year later, and both teams have since won titles with its name attached, McLaren’s coming in the 2024 and 2025 constructors’ championships.

OKX Sponsorship History With McLaren
McLaren is OKX’s only F1 team, and almost every season since 2022 has added more space on the car, with sidepods and special liveries following the first small logos.
OKX F1 Sponsor Questions
Yes, OKX is an F1 sponsor through McLaren, which is its only team in the sport, and it isn’t a partner of the championship itself. The exchange has been on McLaren’s cars since the 2022 Miami Grand Prix and now holds Official Primary Partner status in its fifth season.
OKX’s role at McLaren is Official Primary Partner, one tier below Mastercard’s naming rights. That buys logo space on the cars and race suits, and the exchange also funds special liveries, the latest of which ran at Monza and Madrid in September 2026 to mark the partnership.
OKX pays McLaren about $25m a year according to the best available figure, GlobalData’s number for 2023. Neither company discloses the fee. It’s the third biggest deal at the team behind Mastercard and British American Tobacco, and more than triple any other crypto exchange’s F1 team deal.
The $25m OKX figure started as GlobalData’s value for 2023, and F1 Salaries carries it into 2026 because nothing newer has been reported. BlackBook repeated it in 2025. Treat it as the best guide to the deal’s size rather than a confirmed payment for this season.
OKX’s McLaren sponsorship started in May 2022, with the deal announced on May 3 and the logos raced for the first time at the Miami Grand Prix days later. The exchange had dropped the OKEx name only months earlier, and 2026 is its fifth season with the team.
