McLaren F1 Sponsor

How Much Is Google's McLaren Sponsorship Worth?
Google’s McLaren sponsorship is worth about $15m a year on our model, and that one number covers every Google brand on the car. Android, Chrome, Gemini and Google Cloud each have a slot on McLaren’s partner list, but they come from a single agreement, so adding them up would count the same money four times.
No fee has ever been reported, and phones, software and cloud time make up part of the package. It leaves Google level with DP World at McLaren, behind Mastercard at $90m and OKX at $25m.
The $15m deal equals about 20 minutes of Alphabet's $402.8bn revenue.

How Google's McLaren Partnership Works
Google is Alphabet’s main business and takes in Search, YouTube, Android, Chrome, Pixel phones, Google Cloud and the Gemini AI models, with Sundar Pichai as chief executive. Alphabet’s revenue for 2025 was $402.8bn, and it doesn’t break that down by product brand.
McLaren made Google an Official Primary Partner in February 2024 and renewed it on November 19, 2025, when Gemini joined a multiyear deal with no end date. The team reviews practice video on Android phones, tablets and watches at the track and runs race data, including radio sentiment, through Google Cloud’s AI.

Why Does Google Sponsor McLaren?
Google treats McLaren as a shop window for whatever it’s pushing hardest, and since late 2025 that’s been Gemini. It marked the tie-up in Las Vegas with a Sphere display that redrew the McLaren car as an oil painting and a technical drawing in real time.
The team is a working customer too. McLaren says Android devices were part of the 1.8-second stop it made in Qatar in 2023, and a Pixel ad had Oscar Piastri joking about his 2022 exit from Alpine. In August 2026 Google took the same pitch to five of Europe’s biggest football clubs.

Google F1 Sponsorship History Since 2022
McLaren is Google’s only F1 team, and most of the relationship’s milestones since 2022 have shown up on the car as one-off liveries for its product brands.
Google F1 Sponsorship Questions
No, Chrome and Android aren’t separate McLaren sponsors, since both belong to Google. They’re listed beside Gemini and Google Cloud on the team’s partner page, but all four sit under one Google agreement that started in 2022. That’s why F1 Salaries gives them a single $15m figure rather than four.
Gemini appears on the McLaren car because Google wrote its AI assistant into the partnership when it renewed in November 2025. It’s a Google product rather than a new sponsor paying its own fee, and McLaren’s engineers, drivers and staff use it in their daily work as part of the deal.
Google sponsors F1 through McLaren rather than the championship itself, as the team’s Official Primary Partner. The deal has run since 2022 and now takes in Android, Chrome, Pixel, Google Cloud, its health devices and Gemini. Microsoft, its cloud rival, picked Mercedes instead in January 2026.
What Google pays McLaren has never been disclosed, and F1 Salaries values the deal at $15m a year. The number reflects its Official Primary Partner rights and the technology it supplies, with no public split between cash and equipment. Mastercard’s naming deal at the same team is put at $90m.
Google ranks in McLaren’s top five sponsors for 2026 on our numbers, tied with DP World at $15m a year. Mastercard, British American Tobacco and OKX are bigger, while Dell Technologies sits just below at $8m. Google has also been with the team a year longer than DP World.
