Racing Bulls
F1 Team Value & Salaries

Racing Bulls Valuation and Net Worth
PlanetF1’s August 2026 list puts Racing Bulls at $2.4bn, just ahead of the $2.3bn Forbes estimated in 2025. That’s a market estimate rather than a ceiling. The Times has reported that Red Bull turned down a $3bn Abu Dhabi-backed bid for the team, but a rejected offer isn’t a sale price.
Forbes’ F1-only model gives Racing Bulls $318m of revenue and a $5m operating profit for 2024. That’s more than Williams, Alpine, or Audi took in, and all three lost money, yet PlanetF1 values each of them above Racing Bulls. Sportico’s revenue model is lower at $274m, and the two drivers cost just $1.5m-2m between them.
August 2026 market estimate of $2.4bn for Racing Bulls, which places it ninth of the 11 teams.
Forbes' 2025 ranking values the team at $2.3bn and models $318m of 2024 F1 revenue with a $5m operating profit.
Earlier Sportico editions valued the Faenza team at $905m in 2023 and $1.22bn in 2024, and its model puts 2024 revenue lower at $274m.
Reports that Red Bull rejected a $3bn Abu Dhabi-backed bid. It's a refused offer, so it isn't a sale or a valuation.
Driver pay takes 0.55% of Racing Bulls's revenue, and $5m is left over as profit.
Revenue and profit are from the latest filed accounts. Driver pay is the 2026 base salary of both race drivers.

Projected years come from signed deals, using reported figures where they exist and estimates where they don't. TBC means that seat isn't signed yet.

What Each Point Now Costs Red Bull
Is Racing Bulls Owned by Red Bull?
Racing Bulls belongs to Red Bull GmbH, the Austrian energy drink company that also owns Red Bull Racing. That makes them sister teams under one owner, but they’re entered as separate constructors with their own cars, staff and results, so the two aren’t the same team.
Red Bull GmbH itself is reported as 49% on the Mateschitz side, 49% with the Yoovidhya-linked TC Agro and 2% with Fides Trustees, so the Yoovidhya family’s often-quoted 51% isn’t a single direct holding. Red Bull bought Minardi in 2005. The Times has since reported a rejected $3bn bid, and Red Bull still owns the team.
Traces Racing Bulls to Red Bull GmbH and sets out the parent company's 49%, 49% and 2% shareholding.

Racing Bulls Results Across Five Team Names
Racing Bulls has one podium and 194 points since the name arrived in 2025, but no wins yet. Count Minardi, Toro Rosso, AlphaTauri and RB as well, and the Faenza team’s record since 1985 grows to two wins, six podiums, one pole and 1,087 points, with no titles.
Both wins came at Monza, Sebastian Vettel’s for Toro Rosso in 2008 and Pierre Gasly’s for AlphaTauri in 2020. Sixth has been the best finish four times, so fifth on 102 points this year would beat it. Red Bull Racing’s results are never added here.

How Minardi Became Racing Bulls
Every name below raced out of Faenza, starting with Giancarlo Minardi’s small Italian team in 1985.
Minardi's Underdog Years
Giancarlo Minardi’s team entered F1 in 1985 and spent 21 seasons chasing points without a win or a podium. It scored 38 points in total, and seventh in 1991 was its best championship finish. Red Bull bought the team from Paul Stoddart in 2005.
Toro Rosso Stuns Monza
The Minardi name gave way to Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2006. In 2008 Sebastian Vettel put the car on pole at Monza and won the wet Italian Grand Prix, the team’s first victory, and Toro Rosso finished sixth in the standings, ahead of Red Bull Racing.
Building Its Own Cars
From 2010 the rules required Toro Rosso to design its own chassis, so it became an independent constructor. It switched between Ferrari and Renault engines and gave Daniel Ricciardo and Max Verstappen their first full seasons before both stepped up to Red Bull Racing.
Honda Arrives First
Honda started supplying Toro Rosso in 2018, a season before it also powered Red Bull Racing. Two podiums in 2019, in Germany and Brazil, lifted the team to sixth and took the Toro Rosso name’s final tally to one win and three podiums in 14 seasons.
The AlphaTauri Rebrand
The team took the name of Red Bull’s AlphaTauri fashion label in 2020. Pierre Gasly won at Monza that September and finished third in Baku in 2021, a year when the team scored 142 points, its best under the name. Its points then fell to 35 in 2022 and 25 in 2023.
One Season as RB
For 2024 the constructor raced simply as RB, with Visa and Cash App as naming partners. It finished eighth on 46 points. That season counts in the team’s wider record but comes before the Racing Bulls name, so it’s kept out of the current-name totals.
The Racing Bulls Name
The Racing Bulls name arrived in 2025 and brought 92 points, sixth place and a podium. Red Bull Ford power replaced Honda RBPT for 2026, and the team is fifth on 102 points after 18 Grands Prix. Red Bull GmbH owns both teams, but this one keeps its own results.
Common Questions About Racing Bulls
Yes, Red Bull GmbH owns Racing Bulls, along with Red Bull Racing. They’re still two separate F1 teams with their own cars, staff and results. Red Bull GmbH’s shares are reported as 49% on the Mateschitz side, 49% with TC Agro and 2% with Fides Trustees.
Racing Bulls is valued at $2.4bn by PlanetF1 as of August 2026, and Forbes had the team at $2.3bn in 2025. The Times has reported that Red Bull rejected a $3bn Abu Dhabi-backed bid, but that was an offer rather than a sale, so it doesn’t set the team’s value.
Before the current name arrived in 2025, Racing Bulls raced as RB in 2024. Earlier it was AlphaTauri from 2020 to 2023 and Toro Rosso from 2006 to 2019, and the team first entered F1 as Minardi in 1985. Faenza in Italy has been its home under every name.
Toro Rosso, the team now known as Racing Bulls, was called Minardi before Red Bull bought it in 2005 and renamed it for 2006. Minardi had raced since 1985 without a win. Red Bull Racing is a different team with a different past, having grown out of Stewart and Jaguar.
Faenza, in northern Italy, is home to Racing Bulls, and the team has been there since Minardi’s first F1 season in 1985. Some of its technical staff work in the UK, but it isn’t run from Red Bull Racing’s Milton Keynes factory and keeps its own base and workforce.
Mechanics at Racing Bulls sit around the $75k industry benchmark for an F1 race mechanic, and pit stop work comes with the job rather than on top of it. Senior number one mechanics are nearer $100k. The team hasn’t published its pay rates, and roles in Faenza and the UK can come with different terms.
