Snapdragon
Mercedes F1 Sponsor

How Much Does Qualcomm Pay Mercedes for Snapdragon?
Qualcomm signs the checks for Snapdragon, and our figure for its Mercedes deal is $12m a year. No fee has been reported, so it’s a model price for a team partner package that still gets the brand onto the car, the race suits and the garage.
That sits just above CrowdStrike‘s $10m, while PETRONAS is worth nearly seven times as much at $80m. Visit Qatar’s deal with Audi carries the same $12m figure.
The $12m deal equals about 2 hours of Qualcomm's $44.28bn revenue.

How the Snapdragon Mercedes Deal Works
Snapdragon isn’t a company. It’s Qualcomm’s brand for chips in phones, PCs, cars, wearables and headsets, so the business figures are Qualcomm’s, and the San Diego group run by Cristiano Amon reported revenue of $44.28bn for the year to September 28, 2025.
Qualcomm Technologies signed a multiyear deal in 2023 that put Snapdragon on the W14, the drivers’ race suits, senior staff clothing and the garage. Mercedes still lists it as a team partner in 2026, the tier below PETRONAS and the three principal partners, and no end date has been published.

Why Is Snapdragon on the Mercedes Car?
Snapdragon chips ship inside phones and laptops that carry other companies’ names on the box, so Qualcomm has to build the brand somewhere else. On a Mercedes the name sits in front of F1 viewers every race weekend, where someone choosing their next phone might remember it.
The deal was pitched around fans too. Qualcomm and Mercedes set out to build Snapdragon-powered experiences at races and online and to explore a smart space at the Brackley campus, though neither side has said how much of that plan has been delivered.

Snapdragon F1 Sponsor Questions
Snapdragon is an F1 sponsor through Mercedes, where it’s been a team partner since 2023 and appears on the car, the race suits and the garage. Its owner Qualcomm also sponsored Mercedes from 2015, so the chipmaker has been linked with the team on and off for more than a decade.
Yes, Snapdragon is Qualcomm’s brand for its chip platforms rather than a separate company. Qualcomm Technologies signed the Mercedes agreement, and figures such as the $44.28bn revenue for fiscal 2025 and the $215.7bn market cap belong to Qualcomm as a whole, since Snapdragon’s own sales aren’t disclosed.
Snapdragon brings Qualcomm’s computing platforms and experience design to Mercedes, with the 2023 deal aimed at fan experiences at races and online and at exploring a smart space on the Brackley campus. The brand also gets its logo on the car, the drivers’ race suits, staff clothing and the garage.
About $12m a year is F1 Salaries’ figure for Snapdragon’s Mercedes deal, though neither Qualcomm nor the team has reported a fee. It’s a model price for a team partner package, which puts Snapdragon just ahead of CrowdStrike’s $10m and far behind title partner PETRONAS at $80m.
Snapdragon started sponsoring Mercedes in 2023, with the multiyear deal announced on February 15 that year and the logo on the W14. Qualcomm had been a Mercedes sponsor before, arriving in 2015 and helping with the team’s data systems by 2017.
