Mercedes F1 Net Worth and 2026 Team Value
Only Ferrari is valued higher than Mercedes F1, which PlanetF1 put at $6.4bn in August 2026. Forbes had it at $6bn a year earlier, and Sportico’s different model gave $3.94bn in 2024. That $6.4bn covers the Brackley race team alone. It leaves out the Brixworth engine company, Mercedes HPP, and it has nothing to do with Mercedes-Benz Group’s share price.
The team’s accounts, reported by The Race, show £633.4m ($839m) of revenue for 2025 and £166.7m ($221m) of operating profit, up from £156.2m ($207m) on almost identical turnover. Forbes’ F1-only model also gave Mercedes the grid’s biggest 2024 profit at $202m. Russell and Antonelli cost $37.4m in base pay, about a sixth of the 2025 operating profit.
Values the Mercedes F1 team at $6.4bn in August 2026, second to Ferrari and the team value shown on this page.
Forbes values Mercedes at $6bn for 2025 and models $799m of F1 revenue and $202m of operating income for 2024.
Reports the team's 2025 accounts with £633.4m of revenue and £166.7m of operating profit, and treats $1bn as a future milestone.
Sportico's earlier rankings valued Mercedes at $2.7bn in 2023 and $3.94bn in 2024, on a model whose financial years lag by one.
Driver pay takes 4.5% of Mercedes's revenue, and $221m is left over as profit.
Revenue and profit are from the latest filed accounts. Driver pay is the 2026 base salary of both race drivers.
How Much Do Russell and Antonelli Make at Mercedes?

George Russell

Kimi Antonelli

Mercedes driver salaries total $37.4m in 2026, and George Russell’s salary accounts for $34m of it. His deal, announced in October 2025, covers 2026 only. He’s already agreed a one-year extension for 2027 on the same money, so the two sides keep renewing a season at a time.
Kimi Antonelli’s salary is $3.4m, exactly a tenth of Russell’s. Mercedes extended the contract he signed for his 2025 debut on the same day, and at about $10.2m across 2025 to 2027 it ties both drivers to Brackley until the end of 2027. Bonuses could lift his potential income to $15.4m.
Projected years come from signed deals, using reported figures where they exist and estimates where they don't. TBC means that seat isn't signed yet.

Who Are the Mercedes F1 Shareholders?
Mercedes F1 has three equal owners. Mercedes-Benz, INEOS and Toto Wolff’s holding company each hold a third of the team and share control, the structure that’s been in place since INEOS bought in at the end of 2020. The Brixworth engine business, Mercedes HPP, is owned separately.
CrowdStrike boss George Kurtz joined the shareholder list in November 2025, but he didn’t buy 15% of the team, as it’s often put. He bought 15% of Wolff’s company, which works out at about 5% economically and leaves Wolff with roughly 28%. And supplying engines to McLaren, Williams, and Alpine doesn’t give Mercedes a stake in any of them.
Explains the equal thirds held by Mercedes-Benz, INEOS, and Toto Wolff's holding company and how control of the team is shared.
Confirms George Kurtz bought 15% of Wolff's one-third holding company in November 2025, rather than 15% of the team.

The Mercedes Record With Brawn and Tyrrell Included
Since taking over at Brackley in 2010, Mercedes has won 134 Grands Prix and eight constructors’ titles. All eight came in one unbroken run from 2014 to 2021. Lewis Hamilton won six drivers’ championships in that spell, and Nico Rosberg took the 2016 crown in a year the team won 19 of 21 races.
Count Tyrrell, BAR, Honda and Brawn GP as well and the record reaches 166 wins and 10 constructors’ titles, with Tyrrell’s 1971 championship and Brawn’s 2009 double added. This year Mercedes leads on 607 points after 12 wins in 18 races. Kimi Antonelli has won nine of them and George Russell three.

Mercedes F1 History and Its Tyrrell Roots
Mercedes became a works team in 2010 by buying Brawn, and the Brackley operation it took over traces back through Honda and BAR to Tyrrell in 1970.
Fangio and the First Silver Arrows
Juan Manuel Fangio won the drivers’ title in both of Mercedes’ 1950s seasons, and the W196 took nine wins before the company withdrew from racing at the end of 1955. Those results belong to the Mercedes brand and aren’t part of the Brackley team’s totals.
Tyrrell Builds Its Own Cars
Ken Tyrrell’s team built its own chassis from 1970 and took the constructors’ championship a year later, while Jackie Stewart won the drivers’ title in 1971 and 1973. Michele Alboreto’s 1983 win in Detroit was its last, and the team scored nothing in its final season in 1998.
BAR Comes Close Without Winning
British American Racing replaced Tyrrell in 1999 and didn’t score a point that year. Honda engines arrived in 2000, and 2004 was the high point, with 11 podiums and second in the constructors’ standings. BAR never won a race in seven seasons, although it did take two poles.
Honda Goes It Alone
Honda bought the team outright and raced it under its own name from 2006. Jenson Button won that year’s Hungarian Grand Prix, the only victory of the Honda years, but the team fell to eighth in 2007 and ninth in 2008 before Honda quit F1 that winter.
Brawn GP Wins Both Titles
Ross Brawn led a buyout after Honda’s exit and ran the team as Brawn GP with Mercedes engines. Jenson Button won six of the first seven races, and eight wins and 172 points brought both championships in the team’s only season under that name.
Mercedes Buys In
Mercedes bought Brawn and raced under its own name from 2010, with Michael Schumacher back from retirement alongside Nico Rosberg. Rosberg won in China in 2012 for the modern team’s first victory, and Lewis Hamilton arrived in 2013 as Mercedes climbed to second with three wins.
Eight Titles in a Row
Hybrid engines arrived in 2014 and Mercedes won every constructors’ title until 2021, the longest streak in F1 history. Hamilton won six of the drivers’ crowns in that time and Rosberg took 2016. The only one that got away was 2021, when Max Verstappen beat Hamilton at the final race.
Ground Effect and a New Investor
The 2022 rules ended the title run, although George Russell won in Brazil that year. Mercedes was second in 2023 without a win. Four victories followed in 2024, and it was runner-up again in 2025. George Kurtz bought into Wolff’s share of the team in November 2025.
Setting the Pace Again
Mercedes has handled the 2026 rule change better than anyone. After 18 Grands Prix it leads the constructors’ standings on 607 points with 12 wins, 23 podium finishes and 12 poles, and it’s won four of the six sprints. The W17 runs a Brixworth-built Mercedes power unit.
Common Questions About Mercedes F1
PlanetF1’s August 2026 valuation puts the Mercedes F1 team at $6.4bn, second on the grid after Ferrari’s $7.1bn. A year earlier Forbes had it at $6bn. The figure is for the Brackley race team without the Brixworth engine business, Mercedes HPP, and it isn’t Mercedes-Benz Group’s stock market value either.
Mercedes-Benz, INEOS and Toto Wolff’s holding company each own a third of the Mercedes F1 team and share control. George Kurtz bought 15% of Wolff’s company in November 2025, which gives him an economic interest of about 5% in the team, not a 15% stake or a fourth seat at the table.
Accounts reported by The Race show Mercedes F1 turned over £633.4m ($839m) in 2025, with an operating profit of £166.7m ($221m). Revenue was almost flat on 2024. Sponsorship and licensing together brought in £415m ($550m) of it, and talk of a $1bn year in 2026 is a forecast rather than a reported figure.
George Russell earns a $34m base salary at Mercedes in 2026 and Kimi Antonelli earns $3.4m, a combined $37.4m. Russell’s deal covers this season and he’s agreed another year at the same rate for 2027. Antonelli is signed until the end of 2027 on the contract that began with his 2025 debut, worth about $10.2m across its three seasons.
Pit crew members at Mercedes earn around $75k a year on the industry benchmark for a race mechanic, since Mercedes doesn’t publish its own pay scale. Pit stops are part of a mechanic’s main job and don’t come with a second salary. A number one mechanic is nearer $100k before bonuses.
Mercedes race engineers earn around $135k a year on industry salary guides, since the team doesn’t disclose its own pay. That figure fits the race engineer role only. It shouldn’t be applied to every engineer at Brackley, where pay for design, aerodynamics and factory roles varies widely with seniority.
Around 1,250 people work for Mercedes F1 at Brackley, based on a 2025 paddock estimate. That count covers the chassis team only. The Brixworth engine operation, Mercedes HPP, has its own staff on top, and it also sits outside the team’s $6.4bn valuation.
