Who Sponsors Mercedes in F1?
The Malaysian energy group PETRONAS is both title partner and fuel supplier at the Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team, a pairing that’s raced together since 2010. Directly below it are the three Principal Partners, Microsoft, INEOS and CrowdStrike.
Microsoft is the newcomer, signed in January 2026 to bring Azure computing into the factory and trackside. INEOS is the unusual one because it owns a third of the team as well as sponsoring it.

Who Is Mercedes' Biggest F1 Sponsor?
Title money from PETRONAS tops the list at $80m a year in RacingNews365’s March 2026 figures, and that fee sits alongside fuel and lubricant development that hasn’t been priced separately. Microsoft is close behind at around $60m, the figure Sky reported when the deal was unveiled.
The adidas kit deal comes third at about $30m, carried forward from a January 2025 report. INEOS pays roughly £20m ($26.5m) for its principal partner rights, a figure that leaves its ownership stake out entirely. Snapdragon ($12m) and CrowdStrike ($10m) complete the top six, both on house estimates.

How Long Mercedes's Sponsor Deals Have Run
PETRONAS has the longest-running deal with Mercedes, dating back to 2010, so 2026 is its 17th season. Microsoft is on the newest deal, from 2026.
Most deals don't come with a published end date, so a bar stops at 2026 unless the end is known. Hatching shows contracted seasons still to come.
How Many Sponsors Does Mercedes Have?
At 29 names, Mercedes runs a tighter list than Ferrari‘s 41 or McLaren’s 51. The official page sorts them into one title partner, three Principal Partners, 21 Team Partners, three suppliers in Endless, Pirelli, and Mous, and a single regional partner, BetterUp. Tech names dominate the Team Partner group, with AMD, SAP, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, TeamViewer, and Vercel among them.
Mercedes Sponsors: FAQs
PETRONAS is Mercedes’ biggest sponsor, paying around $80m a year as title partner according to RacingNews365. It has backed the team since 2010, and a renewal agreed in 2022 took effect this season. Microsoft’s deal is next at around $60m.
PETRONAS pays Mercedes around $80m a year, the figure RacingNews365 published in March 2026. BlackBook’s older benchmark was up to $75m, so the two are close in scale. That money buys the title rights, while the fuel and lubricant engineering PETRONAS provides hasn’t been given a price of its own.
INEOS is both at Mercedes. It became principal partner in 2020 under an initial five-year deal and took a one-third ownership stake the same year. The sponsorship is worth about £20m ($26.5m) a year on a carried-forward benchmark, and that number doesn’t include anything tied to its shareholding.
adidas provides Mercedes with team kit, race wear and licensed fan clothing under a multiyear deal that began in 2025. JohnWallStreet reported it at $30m a year, and that figure is carried into 2026 here. adidas also appears on Audi‘s 2026 partner list, but that’s a separate deal with no public price.
Microsoft supplies Mercedes with Azure cloud computing, AI tools and virtual sensor work, and it’s one of three Principal Partners. The deal was announced on January 22, 2026 and is worth around $60m a year, according to Sky’s reporting. The announcement cites more than 400 sensors on the car, producing 1.1m data points a second.
CrowdStrike doesn’t own Mercedes shares, but its CEO George Kurtz does. In November 2025 he bought 15% of Toto Wolff‘s one-third holding, which works out at roughly 5% of the team. The company’s own sponsorship dates to 2019, and we put it at about $10m a year.
