Pierre Gasly Salary 2026 and His $18.2m Alpine Deal
Pierre Gasly’s salary is €16m ($18.2m) in 2026, the first year of the three-year extension Alpine announced in September 2025. That’s an 82% rise on the $10m he earned in 2024 and 2025, and more than triple his $5m base in his first Alpine season.
Per Grand Prix, the new deal is worth around $791k. Just six drivers have a bigger base salary this year, and all of them except Fernando Alonso race for Red Bull, Ferrari, Mercedes, or McLaren.
Reports his €16m ($18.2m) annual salary, the €48m ($54.7m) three-year total and a title bonus of up to €10m ($11.4m).

The Title Bonus in Gasly's Contract
The deal also includes a bonus of up to €10m ($11.4m) that’s tied to the championship. Winning the title would take his income for the year to $29.6m, although the 42 points in his 2026 season stats after the United States Grand Prix show how much ground Alpine must make up before that clause comes into play. He’s 10th in the standings, the only Alpine driver in the top 10.

How Long Is Pierre Gasly's Contract?
Alpine announced Gasly’s extension on September 6, 2025, and it took effect at the start of this season. It’s a three-year contract that runs to the end of 2028, by which point he’ll have spent six seasons with the team.
The reported terms put his base at €16m ($18.2m) a season, or €48m ($54.7m) across the three years. The two seasons after this one account for €32m ($36.5m) of that. There’s also a yearly exit clause linked to performance, so the length on paper isn’t quite a guarantee.
Gasly’s F1 pay has risen more than 140-fold since his Toro Rosso debut, but not in a straight line. The stints below are grouped by team and contract, including the 12 races he spent at Red Bull in 2019. Those earnings sit behind his estimated $33m net worth.

What Alpine Gets for Gasly's $18.2m Salary
Alpine nearly doubled Gasly’s base for 2026 and tied him down until the end of 2028, a firm bet on a driver who turned 30 in February.
The only winner in the garage. His 2020 victory at Monza makes him the one Grand Prix winner in Alpine’s 2026 lineup.
The benchmark for a young teammate. His 195 Grand Prix starts compare with 44 for Franco Colapinto, who’s in his first full season.
A points rebound. His 42 points after the United States Grand Prix are already close to double the 22 he scored in 2025.
A French face for a French brand. Alpine is owned by Renault Group, and a French Grand Prix winner is easy to market at home.
Stability through 2028. A three-year term worth €48m ($54.7m) gives Alpine a settled lead driver while Colapinto is confirmed one season at a time.
Gasly Against Colapinto on Pay and Points
Gasly’s $18.2m base is at least 18 times Franco Colapinto’s $500k-1m, the biggest multiple between any two teammates on the grid this year. With both bonus scenarios added, the comparison becomes $29.6m against $1.5m-2m. The points table is much tighter, with Gasly ahead 42 to 27 after the United States Grand Prix.
Pierre Gasly makes €16m ($18.2m) in base salary at Alpine in 2026, about $791k per Grand Prix. His contract also carries a championship bonus of up to €10m ($11.4m). Winning the title would lift his income for the year to $29.6m. Without it, his base is still 82% higher than the $10m he earned in 2025.
Pierre Gasly’s contract with Alpine runs until the end of 2028. The team announced the three-year extension on September 6, 2025, and 2026 is its first season. Its reported value is €48m ($54.7m) in base salary. A performance-related exit clause can apply each year, so the full term depends partly on results.
Pierre Gasly makes about $1.52m a month from his €16m ($18.2m) Alpine base salary in 2026, or roughly $50k for every day of the year. If he won the title and collected his championship bonus, each month would be worth $2.47m.
Alpine doesn’t pay him in these even amounts, so treat them as averages.
Red Bull dropped Pierre Gasly in August 2019 because he couldn’t get close to Max Verstappen in his first season with the senior team. He scored 63 points in 12 races, and Alex Albon took his seat from the Belgian Grand Prix. Gasly went back to Toro Rosso and finished second in Brazil three months later.
Each season of Pierre Gasly’s Alpine contract is reported to pay the same €16m ($18.2m) in base salary. After 2026, the two remaining seasons are worth €32m ($36.5m) between them. His title bonus of up to €10m ($11.4m) is separate from that base, and his income would reach $29.6m in a championship-winning year.
