Leclerc's Bonus Potential This Season
Results could add around $12m on top, which is what he collected in bonuses during a strong 2024. That would lift his potential income for 2026 to $46m, although a flat year can wipe it out, as his bonus-free 2025 showed. His 2026 season stats put him fifth in the championship on 233 points, with one win so far at Silverstone, and he finished second to Kimi Antonelli at the United States Grand Prix, where he also set the fastest lap.

Charles Leclerc's Current Ferrari Contract
Leclerc is racing this season on the extension Ferrari announced on January 25, 2024. It covered 2025 and 2026, so it expires when this season ends and takes him to eight years with the team since his promotion from Sauber.
Based on his reported $30m in 2025 and $34m in 2026, the deal is worth about $64m in base salary across the two years. Bonuses come on top and depend on results. Ferrari didn’t wait for it to run out, and confirmed his next contract on June 3.
Leclerc's New Ferrari Deal From 2027
The renewal Ferrari announced on June 3, 2026 starts in 2027 and guarantees two more seasons. Leclerc is reported to earn €40m ($45.6m) in 2027 and €44m ($50.2m) in 2028, a core value of $95.8m. He then holds an option for 2029 and Ferrari holds one for 2030, which could keep him in red until the end of 2030.
Leclerc earned an estimated $150k as a Sauber rookie and is paid $34m today. The stints below break down each chapter, from his single season at Sauber to his long run at Ferrari. Those earnings sit behind his estimated $100m net worth.

Why Ferrari Pays Leclerc $34m
Ferrari has built around Leclerc since 2019, and his salary reflects how hard he’d be to replace.
Pole position pace. His 27 career poles put him third among active drivers, behind only Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen.
Ferrari’s own product. He came through the Ferrari Driver Academy, so the team is paying to keep a driver it’s backed since his junior racing days.
A proven winner. Nine wins and 55 podiums from 188 starts give Ferrari a driver who turns a quick car into results.
A ceiling set by Hamilton. Hamilton’s $60m arrival raised the top of the pay scale inside the team, and Leclerc’s reported €40m ($45.6m) for 2027 narrows that gap.
Long-term security. Signing him to 2028, with options to 2030, stops rivals courting him through the rest of this rules era.
Leclerc's Pay Against Lewis Hamilton
Leclerc’s $34m base is $26m less than Lewis Hamilton’s $60m, the second-highest salary in F1. With both bonus scenarios included the gap is $24m, at $46m against $70m. Hamilton leads their points battle too, 241 to 233, but Leclerc’s pay moves much closer from 2027.
Charles Leclerc’s current Ferrari contract runs to the end of 2026, and the renewal announced on June 3, 2026 extends it through 2028. The new deal also includes an option for Leclerc in 2029 and one for Ferrari in 2030, so he could stay with the team until the end of 2030.
Charles Leclerc earns a $34m base salary from Ferrari in 2026, up from $30m in 2025. A strong season could add around $12m in bonuses and take his potential income to $46m. It rises again in 2027. That’s when a reported €40m ($45.6m) salary starts under the new contract he signed in June.
Yes. Lewis Hamilton earns a $60m base salary at Ferrari in 2026, which is $26m more than Charles Leclerc’s $34m. Only Max Verstappen is paid more on the grid. The gap shrinks in 2027, when Leclerc’s reported salary rises to $45.6m while Hamilton stays on $60m.
Charles Leclerc’s new Ferrari contract has a reported core value of $95.8m, made up of €40m ($45.6m) in 2027 and €44m ($50.2m) in 2028. Ferrari announced the renewal on June 3, 2026, and it also includes a 2029 option for Leclerc and a 2030 option for Ferrari, which could keep him at the team until the end of 2030.
Charles Leclerc makes about $2.83m a month from his $34m Ferrari base salary in 2026, or roughly $93k a day. With the $12m bonus scenario included, his monthly figure climbs to $3.83m.
These are illustrative averages, and they aren’t the amounts Ferrari actually pays him on any given date.
Charles Leclerc makes about $1.48m per race in 2026 when his $34m Ferrari base salary is spread across the season’s Grands Prix. Including the $12m bonus scenario, his per-race average rises to $2m.
Ferrari doesn’t pay him race by race, so these figures simply divide his yearly pay by the calendar.
